Retreats

Participating in a retreat gives you the chance to do deep, inner work in a quiet, tranquil atmosphere. The food is usually vegan and/or organic (and sometimes raw) - healing for your body and soul! You not only have the opportunity to reflect on and visualize your life as you would like it to be, but you also will receive guidance and support in the following areas to create lasting change in your life:

  • guided meditations to connect with higher guidance (angels, spirit guides)

  • past life regression or hypnotherapy sessions

  • releasing/clearing/renewing rituals

  • journaling and writing reflections

  • times of silence

  • mindful eating

  • nature walks

  • mindful stretching and yoga

After every retreat, I always spend time just soaking up the energy of the weekend, and really reveling in it. I feel I have settled into a flow of where I really enjoy them myself too, and can relax in the light of being with others I support. When I get to be in retreat spaces like this with people who trust in me and who share of themselves with such vulnerability and connect so powerfully with each other,  and when I benefit myself from the energy of connection and healing, I feel so lucky to be able to do this work as my job!

Ginger Dowling: What I Bring Back

On why she goes to retreats: “When you go to a retreat, you don’t want to just sing songs. You want to really do some work. And that requires you to dig a little deep. And that’s hard for me. I get a little nervous and worry that people are going to judge me … or will I find the right words. But I never feel that way when I get here.”

How these retreats feel: “I always feel really accepted and loved and safe. I’m going to get teary… it’s such a good container for doing work that I can’t do on my own. I just feel really renewed when I come to these retreats, and inspired to bring the good things into my life.”

What she carries with her: “We’ve all gotten so plugged into electronics, and live our lives on the web. That wasn’t who I was before. I love the inspiration of connecting to nature, and thinking more mindfully about what I eat, and taking a moment to pause throughout my day and show gratitude, and tell people I love them. All that stuff that we grew up with but have forgotten. I bring that back with me. Every time.”

Karen Tracy: The Love Within Retreats

On the overall vibe: “It was relaxing but jam-packed full of incredible information. I felt such a download of such love. It was such a safe place to be. It was well-organized. It was just so beautiful. It felt so loving. I just wanted to stay there, I didn’t want to come home! I was having so much fun. It felt like it woke up something within me - a part of me that had been quiet for too long. I felt reconnected, rejuvenated, so much more in touch with my Higher Self.”

What she thought it might be like: “I was hoping I didn’t put too much expectation on it. But what I found was it was an amazing answer, but it was gentle and it was kind. Never once did I feel fearful. It always felt so right. Like, “oh okay, that’s what I came for.” It made everything click – everything fell into place. It answered so many questions I had. And I still feel today and am still examining it… like, did that really happen?”

What she learned: “You taught us to stop - even when we were eating meals appreciating every bite - the silent meal we had was amazing. To practice that when I got home. And I did! I put the fork down. I realized some of the habits that I had took me away from appreciating so much around me. I got so caught up in work and in stress and in this daily grind stuff - that I forgot. There’s so many things to be grateful for. This made me stop and really look at that, and say thank you. It doesn’t take long. My heart means it, and I know that now. I’m not going through motions. It stopped me from that rollercoaster I was on. I stop and actually take a breath. Even during the work day. I just sit for a minute… I’m good, and I move on.”

On being with other people: “It just seemed to flow. There was such an ease to it. The people we were with were fantastic. I could feel their apprehension but as soon as we started sharing, all those walls came down. People were sharing pretty deep thoughts, which was amazing! Seeing their point of view helping me in some ways too. Some people experience some stuff and yeah, I had that same experience! So now you have that bond. It was so remarkable to me – these people were so kind and open-hearted. I so appreciated that.”

How her life is different now: “I would definitely do this again. It was worth every minute, every moment. I felt so spoiled. It was a shift – something I so was craving. There’s a calm part of me that has come forth, I’m not so wrapped up in my life. I feel like I’ve discovered what’s really important.”
