Did you know that everyone is naturally intuitive? It's just that, for many of us, our third eye has become blocked by societal programming.
In this free online class, you'll learn about three specific myths around intuition development and how to move past them. As these three myths can actually create further subconscious blocks to opening our third eye, it’s important to clarify any misconceptions. As adults, we all have the ability to learn how to dust off the debris that has clouded our third eye so that we can reconnect with our energetic powers!
In the years of learning how to open my own intuition and in teaching others how to do the same, here are the three myths I’ve come across:
Myth #1: Not everyone is psychic or can develop intuition.
Some past students in intuition classes I’ve taught privately shared that they worry that other people are more intuitive than they are and that they might not have the gift that some do.
I certainly once felt that way. I remember taking an Angel Intuitive class, one of the first psychic development classes I had ever attended, and everyone was having these amazing experiences except for me. It seemed like the other students were getting all these messages from their angels but I wasn’t. Still, I kept trying. And then things started to happen.
This brings me to another myth:
Myth #2: Intuition is clear. You only see things with your eyes open and or hear messages out loud.
As I was developing my own intuition, I thought that I would hear messages really clearly, as if someone were talking to me in the same room. In reality, clairaudience (the psychic sense of hearing) is more like your own thoughts. The same goes for clairvoyance (the psychic sense of seeing). I used to think that clairvoyance was seeing spirits or colors with your eyes open. While this is true for some people with exceptionally clear sight, for most people (myself included), the images come in the mind’s eye, with the eyes closed.
We all have psychic ability! The third eye chakra connected to intuition, located at the pineal gland, is within us all. And the heart chakra, as the gateway to intuitive knowing, is something we all have too.
And lastly, there’s one more myth that I’d like to debunk:
Myth #3: You have to wear crystals and flowy clothing to do psychic work.
As many humans move into spiritual awakening, we come from all walks of life. Some of the most psychic people I know look and dress like “regular” people. Not everyone has to look like a stereotypical psychic medium that you would see in the movies with crystal balls and rainbow-colored clothes (not that there’s anything wrong with that).
Let’s keep in mind that over the years our innate gifts have been blocked by societal programming that can create fear and doubt. This often starts with parents (as well-intentioned as they may be, continues on through public school, and then into the modern workplace. There’s a reason that children so easily can connect with Spirit and with past lives – it hasn’t been conditioned out of them yet!
We all have the opportunity to become more intuitive. We just need to work on clearing any subconscious obstacles to opening our third eye!
