The Power of Angels

And life continues to roll onward. My husband and I have been immersed in planning our homeschool year for our kids, and enjoying time with other families. We are focused on unity, healing and compassion. More of that, and less division, is what we need to heal.

But still, it's challenging for many, as we continue to be squeezed out of the mainstream systems, which are becoming more and more dystopian.

When I am unsure of how to proceed, I close my eyes, focus on loving energy and ask angels to help. My kids do this too. It's amazing what can happen after we connect with angelic energy.

In doing some research online years ago, I became interested in angels and took a few online courses on how to connect with angels. I now believe that I was guided to work with angels to help me open my third eye.

This was not the first time, of course, I had been aware of angels. When I was about 13, we moved to a new town, and I was unhappy and lonely. I would have nightmares with horrible, twisted faces. I would wake up in a sweat and feel like my room was pulsing. I started to wonder if I was losing my mind at times.

It was then that I started imagining a bubble of light around my body. I do not know why, but to fall asleep, I would picture this light protecting me, and the bad stuff was not able to enter in.

In hindsight, I believe that this was the guidance of my guardian angel, or the energy of Archangel Michael helping to keep me safe. The thought to visualize light around me just popped in my head, and I thought it was something that I just invented for fun. But now, I see that this was actually divine guidance that I was receiving (which can just feel like our regular thoughts).

But I had not consciously and intentionally worked with angels before. I later learned that angels and other Divine beings can create powerful shifts in energy, and that tapping into their light can be truly life-changing.

While archangels inspire action and shift energies much more powerfully, guardian angels are more about offering reassurance.

We each have at least one guardian angel whose job is to watch over us and keep us out of harm’s way, especially as children. They show up from the moment of conception and stay with us for our lifetime. Other angels can come and go, depending on if we’ve asked and what’s happening in our lives. Our guardian angels have unconditional love for us, with us every moment every day. Their job is to keep us safe until we achieve what we’re here to do! They help us feel nurtured and offer comfort in times of hardship.

Angels want to connect to us but we must raise our vibration to more closely match theirs so they can communicate. When we are afraid/stressed/angry, our vibration is low. But, we can ask angels to help us raise our vibration, and they will! Bringing in light to the body, focusing on the heart, and gratitude helps.

Angels can best help us (with some exceptions when it comes to life/death, with guardian angels intervening) when we ask. Focus on the intention of what you ask for, and it helps to write/sing/shout it out loud. Try to phrase your request in a positive, loving way and feel the vibration of gratitude in your heart. This helps you align with the angelic energy for your prayer to be received.

You can learn more about how to tap into in this energy, and do angel readings for others, in a new How to Communicate with Angels online class. I had to learn from others about angels to work with them, and you can too!
