Where Do We Go From Here?

Ah, it's March! This is the time of year we always look forward to - when the sap starts flowing and we sit outside by the fire making maple syrup. There's something about this gift from the trees, along with the gifts from our hens collecting eggs in late winter right before spring too. It brings in a sense of flow and joy that life is returning.

I have been spending more time doing my best to rest, to play and to allow. More and more, I've been aware of the innate desire to just slow down in the winter (even though I love to get outside and go cross-country skiing with my family as much as I can). In the past, I'd often been "go, go, go," yet I have found immense benefit in noticing my energy and being careful of where it's being placed.

This has led to a desire to be more quiet, on social media in particular. It's as if, after writing my book and speaking up about the past few years of craziness, that I feel like I have said a lot of what I wanted to say.

And yet, it is my blessing to share with you my thoughts that may be helpful as we move into higher states of consciousness.

I hope that you are taking time to rest and heal. The past few years have really taken a toll on so many of us. I hope that you are taking time to sit and be with your emotions, especially we all continue to heal from the collective trauma that Covid brought. The pain of division among friends and family is still one that many of us (including myself) are continuing to process and heal from.

Hopefully, we can come to a place of allowing others to be where they are comfortable, without trying to change them (or "wake them up"). Believe me, I have learned this the hard way!

The more we go inward, the more we find answers. There is no one "recipe" or right way to heal, but it's just a sense of innate knowing that we are intuitively doing and being what feels right to us in our hearts and in our bodies.

Trusting in our intuition is the way forward, in my belief. Taking the time to get quiet to tune into our hearts and with the energy we are feeling is how we "know" what's right to do - what to do based in love and what to say or what not to say based in love.

However you start doing this, I hope that you find some peace within. Take some time to quiet your mind, invite light into your body and ask your heart what message it has to share with you (sometimes asking a "how/what/why" question helps bring the answer).

May this be healing in some way.
